MANDATORY BINGO

All registrants must work ONE bingo, to a maximum of TWO per family. Bingo revenue helps the club offer lower registration fees by subsidizing ice costs, paying for coach courses for Hockey Canada certification, reimbursing teams for referee fees at the end of the year, purchasing of jerseys, pant shells, goalie equipment, etc.

CASINO

The Hawks Athletic Club is awarded a casino event approximately every 18 months.  A call for volunteers will go out approximately six weeks before the event and workers will receive a $150 credit towards next years' registration fees or Conditioning Camp fees.

Our next casino event is:

• Dec.11-12, 2022 Pure Yellowhead Casino.

TEAM-LEVEL FUNDRAISING (Novice to Peewee only)

Your registration fees provide practice, game, playoff and Minor Hockey Week ice times as outlined as a basic season by the Federation Hockey Council.

Individual teams may want to:

• obtain additional practice ice,
• play exhibition games,
• enter tournaments,
• buy team apparel,
• have team-building events.

These activities are extras and are funded by the individual teams.  The source of the necessary money, to the limits that the parental majority may set, is the parent group of that team and can be generated via a cash call, fundraising, or most commonly, some combination of both.

Here are some ideas:

• Bottle Drive
• Plan a Pub Night with Silent Auction
• 50/50 draw (teams are responsible for applying for their own permits from the AGLC)
• Liquor Basket draw (teams are responsible for applying for their own permits from the AGLC)
• Gift Card raffle (teams are responsible for applying for their own permits from the AGLC)
• Sell something:

  • Stawnichy's Sausage (Mundare Sausages)
  • Calahoo Meats
  • Little Caesars Pizza Kit
  • Kernels Popcorn
