  • An undated deposit cheque in the amount of $350.00 must be submitted at the time of registration to reserve your bingo date. (It can be mailed to Hawks Athletic Club, 12808-134A Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T5L 3W6). Your cheque will be returned after the bingo is worked. If you no longer have cheques you MUST leave a credit card number to use as a bingo deposit. Your credit card will not be charged unless you default on your bingo. Any paperwork containing your credit card information will be shredded after your bingo is worked. Please contact the Hawks’ Gaming Director at gaming@hawksathletics.ca or call (780) 267-4367 with your credit card number.
  • If you DO NOT want to work the mandatory bingo it can be paid out for an extra $250.00 in fees AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION ONLY.
  • Registration is not considered complete until all supporting documents are RECEIVED and payment arrangements are made. You have 7 days from the time of online registration to complete and submit any outstanding documents. If the registration is not complete by September 7th, you will lose the early bird fee and be charged the $100 difference.

PLAYERS

  • Registration for all players are done exclusively ONLINE.
  • Before registering, please ensure that you live in the Hawks Athletic Club catchment area.  Please refer to Hockey Edmonton's Interactive Boundary Map.
  • IMPORTANT NOTE FOR U13 PLAYERS wanting to try out for CAC or KC U13AA- You DO NOT register with the Hawks. You register with CAC or KC for the tryout, and if your player does not make a team with CAC or KC, then you register online with the Hawks (You will still get the early bird fee - please email the registrar PRIOR to registering in order to receive the discount.)

REGISTRATION FOR RETURNING PLAYERS
Process

Registration can be completed ONLINE by clicking on this Hockey Canada website - HAWKS ATHLETIC CLUB REGISTRATION LINK - follow the link then login to your MY SPORDLE ACCOUNT to access the Hawks Athletic Club registration options (go to the top right-hand side of the page and click on "Login" in small blue letters).

As you have registered your child(ren) online in years' past, the user name and password you created for Spordle/Hockey Canada is valid for this registration - Please do not create another user name and password.

Please ensure to confirm ALL the information in Hockey Canada including your email address as this forms the basis of our communication with your family.

To complete your registration for a RETURNING PLAYER, please complete the following: 

  • If you have moved:  Parent Declaration Form - Enter registrar@hawksathletics.ca in the MINOR HOCKEY ASSOCIATION SUBMISSION box found within the form.  Attach your Proof of Residency.  The Proof of Residency accepted is a current utility bill (first page only) showing your name and address and upload it under documents.  Only gas, water and electricity bills will be accepted (i.e., Direct Energy, Epcor, Enmax).  Driver's licenses, phone bills, cable bills, vehicle insurance documents, etc., will not be accepted as Proof of Residency.
  • If your Respect in Sport Parent course has expired (it is valid for 4 years) complete the MANDATORY Respect in Sport Parent Online Course (RIS) - make sure to select NW HAWKS as the association (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT).
  • Mail your $350.00 Bingo Deposit Cheque to the Registrar (address above) or submit your Credit Card number to the Gaming Director.
  • Provide Payment - E-Transfer, Visa or MasterCard.

Once online registration has been completed, payment can be made as follows:

Visa or MasterCard:

  • In full at the time of online registration.

E-Transfers:

  • In full at the time of registration; or
  • Half of the total registration fee to be paid upon registration and the balance to be paid on or before September 1st.
  • Your e-transfer can be sent to registrar@hawksathletics.ca. Please use security question "What sport is this"? Answer: hockey
  • You MUST put your player's FULL NAME in the memo field so that the e-transfer can be applied to your registration.
  • Please note: The Hawks are providing members with the courtesy of using Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Please provide the funds in the timelines indicated above. The Hawks will not accept random payments of varying dollar amounts on dates of your choosing. In other words, EFT is not to be viewed as a personal payment plan.
  • If you require alternate payment arrangements, please contact the Registrar, Lorraine Toth, by email at registrar@hawksathletics.ca to discuss.
  • Money Orders will be accepted
  • Personal cheques will not be accepted.

REGISTRATION FOR NEW PLAYERS

Process

Registration is completed online. Documents must also be sent using the PARENT DECLARATION FORM.

Determine which of the below categories apply for a NEW PLAYER registration and follow the instructions:

 

2.1   REGISTERING FOR THE FIRST TIME - NO PREVIOUS CHILDREN HAVE PLAYED HOCKEY 

Registration can be completed ONLINE by clicking on this Hockey Canada website - HAWKS ATHLETIC CLUB REGISTRATION LINK - follow the link then login to MY SPORDLE ACCOUNT to access the Hawks Athletic Club registration options (go to top right-hand side of page and click on "Login" in small blue letters).  If you are registering for hockey for the first time please follow the instructions to create a Spordle account. Once complete you will need to register a new participant (the child playing hockey this season) by providing the info required under the new participant section.

Please ensure to confirm ALL the information in Hockey Canada including your email address as this forms the basis of our communication with your family.

To complete your registration for a NEW PLAYER, please complete the following:

  • Mail your $350.00 Bingo Deposit Cheque to the Registrar (address above) or submit your Credit Card number to the Gaming Director.
  • Provide Payment - E-Transfer, Visa or MasterCard.

Once online registration has been completed, payment can be made as follows:

2.2   REGISTERED A CHILD IN THE PAST AND NEED TO ADD A NEW PARTICIPANT (REGISTER ANOTHER CHILD) 

If you have registered a child(ren) online in years past and you are registering a child who has never played before please click the Hockey Canada website - HAWKS ATHLETIC CLUB REGISTRATION LINK - follow the link then login to your MY SPORDLE ACCOUNT to access the Hawks Athletic Club registration options (go to top right-hand side of page and click on "Login" in small blue letters).  Login to your account and follow the "Register a New Participant" section.

If you have played for and are transferring from another hockey organization within Canada please contact the Hawks' Registrar immediately at registrar@hawksathletics.ca .
