2010-2011 Registration Information

Welcome everyone -  Beginners to advanced players!     The Hawks Athletic Club is a member of Hockey Edmonton and has been providing organized hockey in North West Edmonton since 1987.    The Hawks Athletic Club is open to all boys and girls, aged 4 through 15 years, residing in Edmonton north of Stony Plain Road to the city boundary and 97 Street west to the city limits.  You will find our program fun, exciting and competitive, with our main goal being the development of skating and hockey skills.

The following documents are required for all NEW players:

A copy of player’s Birth Certificate,

• A copy of Alberta Health Care Card,
• Proof of Residency (i.e., recent utility bill),
• Corporate Family Community League Membership (see below for details)

There are 3 options available for registration:

1.    In Person Registration

Returning players -  please bring your pre-printed registration form with you and ensure that all the information is accurate.  Our primary method of communication is e-mail so please make sure that the e-mail address(es) are correct.  Blank registration forms for new players will be available at registration.  All players are required to purchase a CORPORATE FAMILY COMMUNITY LEAGUE MEMBERSHIP for $25.00 (scroll down below for further important details).

SATURDAY, JUNE 19 FROM 10:00 AM TO 5:00 PM AT CASTLEDOWNS ARENA

AUGUST 17, 18, 19 FROM 6:00 PM TO 8:00 PM AT CASTLEDOWNS ARENA

Castledowns Arena is located at 153 Avenue and 113A Street.

Forms of payment accepted at In-Person Registration: Cash, Debit, Cheques, Visa, MasterCard.

2.         Mail In Registration

Main in completed registration form with required documents and payment for registration fees and CORPORATE RATE FAMILY COMMUNITY LEAGUE MEMBERSHIP (1 cheque can be submitted for the total of registration fees and Corporate Family Community League Membership) to:

3.         On-line Registration

It is advisable to download and print off the REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR RETURNING HAWKS MEMBERS NEW TO ONLINE REGISTRATION FIRST before beginning the online registration process, as it is a step-by-step guideline to register on-line.

 2010/2011 HAWKS ATHLETIC CLUB REGISTRATION FEES

Registrations for returning Hawks Athletic Club players Novice through Bantam that are received after July 31 are subject to an additional $100.00 fee.  This does NOT apply to players NEW to the Hawks.

Payment may be made by cash, debit, cheque, Visa or Mastercard.  If paying before July 31, cheques may be post-dated to July 31.  If paying AFTER July 31, cheques can be post-dated to November 1, 2010.

Please Note:  All registrants must work ONE bingo, to a maximum of two bingos per family.  If you do not want to work a bingo, please add $100.00 to your registration fee.  Please include an undated, signed cheque in the amount of $200.00 for your bingo deposit.  This cheque will be returned to you after your bingo has been worked.

CHANGES TO COMMUNITY LEAGUE MEMBERSHIPS

 The Hawks Athletic Club will NOT be issuing community league membership cards this year.

On April 19, 2010, the General Membership for the Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues voted in favour of the following recommendation:  “That the Edmonton Minor Hockey Association be granted the right to sell $25.00 “Corporate Rate” family community league memberships to all of its minor hockey players, during hockey registrations.”  Therefore, all families of the Hawks will pay an additional $25.00 in lieu of purchasing their community league memberships at the time of registration.

DEFINITION:  CORPORATE RATE FAMILY MEMBERSHIP

The Corporate Rate Family Membership is a special standardized rate of $25.00 for any Community League Family Membership when sold through Hockey Edmonton.

  This rate is available only to Hockey Registrants.  The fee amount was based on the average fee of Community League Memberships across the city.

Leagues will be issuing cards after August 15, 2010.

  If you do not receive your card or have questions on how to obtain your community league card and skate tags,

you must contact the Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues at http://www.efcl.org/.

The Hawks Athletic Club will NOT be giving out or selling any

 community league membership cards or skate tags.
