Respect in Sport

The Parent Respect in Sport Course is a mandatory online certificate course that must be completed by at least one parent or guardian of each player registered in Minor Hockey in Alberta.

The Hockey Edmonton policy mandates that this program must be completed prior to any on-ice activities inclusive of the first tryout skates for any team/program. Registrations are not complete until the course has been completed.

  • If you are registering a returning player and have already completed the course you do not need to complete the course again.
  • If your child is new to the Hawks and you have another child for whom you have already done the course, you do not have to repeat the course. Go to the Respect in Sport Parent website at https://hockeyalbertaparent.respectgroupinc.com. Log into your Respect in Sport Parent profile and add the new child.
  • If your child is new to our program and you have not completed the course, your child will not be allowed on the ice without providing proof of completion of the course.

For information on how to log into and complete the course, please download the document: RESPECT IN SPORT PARENT PROGRAM PROCEDURES

VERY IMPORTANT:  Hockey Alberta has changed how our name appears in the Respect in Sport program - YOU MUST CHOOSE "NW HAWKS"

The cost of the course is $12.60 ($12.00 plus GST).  The online program will take approximately one hour to complete; however, it can be re-accessed and completed in smaller segments as you so choose.

If you require help with the program please contact the Help Desk as indicated on the program site.
