DISCOVERY Discovery is a learn to skate program, for players learning to move and skate while wearing hockey equipment. For 4 year old's as of December 31. Sessions occur on weekends, once per week.
JUNIOR TIMBITS Jr. Timbits is an Introduction to Hockey Skill Development. For 5 year old's as of December 31, or by ability/development level. Sessions occur on weekends, once per week.
SENIOR TIMBITS Sr. Timbits is an Introduction to Cross-Ice Hockey. For 6 year old's as of December 31, or by ability/development level. Sessions occur on weekends, twice per week.
MINOR NOVICE Minor Novice hockey is the Introduction to Half Ice Hockey. For 7 year old's as of December 31. Sixteen half-ice games, 30 half-ice practices. No scorekeeping, no standings.
MAJOR NOVICE Major Novice hockey is Full Ice Hockey. For 8 year old's as of December 31. Eighteen full-ice games, 26 half-ice practices. Scorekeeping. Hidden standings. Participation in Quikcard Minor Hockey Week and end of season playoffs.
ATOM Atom hockey continues with the formation of tiered teams that play city-wide. The players will still vary from beginners that are learning basic hockey skills to those that have more experience. For 9 and 10 year olds.
PEEWEE Peewee hockey continues with the formation of tiered teams that play city-wide. The players will still vary from beginners that are learning basic hockey skills to those that have more experience. For 11 and 12 year olds.
The Hawks Athletic Club is a member of Hockey Edmonton and has been providing organized hockey in northwest Edmonton since 1987. The Hawks Athletic Club is open to all boys and girls, aged 4 through 12 years (timbits through peewee), residing in Edmonton north of Stony Plain Road and the MacKinnon Ravine to the city boundary and 97 Street west to the city limits.
You will find our program fun, exciting and competitive, with our main goal being the development of skating and hockey skills.
