WELCOME TO THE HAWKS ATHLETIC CLUB

2021-2022 REGISTRATION INFORMATION PAGE!

The Hawks Athletic Club is a member of Hockey Edmonton and has been providing organized hockey in northwest Edmonton since 1987.  The Hawks Athletic Club is open to all boys and girls, 4 through 12 years of age.  You will find our program fun, exciting and competitive, with our main goal being the development of skating and hockey skills.

The Hawks area is bounded by Stony Plain Road and the MacKinnon Ravine on the south to the City boundary to the north and roughly 97 Street west (with a few exceptions) to the City limits.  If you do not reside within these boundaries, please check the boundary information here: Interactive Boundary Map for all ages and levels .

*** IMPORTANT NOTE FOR U13 PLAYERS wanting to try out for CAC U13AA or KC U13AA.  You DO NOT register with the Hawks at this time.  You must register with the Canadian Athletic Club (CAC) or Knights of Columbus (KC) for the tryouts and if your player does not make a team with either CAC or KC then you register online with the Hawks Athletic Club.  CAC's contact information is:  Betty Chmilar at (780) 499-4148 or cachockeyregistrar@gamil.com.  KC's contact information is:  Gen Osmond at (780) 457-4527 or office@kchockey.ca. 

Hockey Canada has implemented a new online registration system.  The provider of this new online system is a company named SPORDLE.   The links, accounts and passwords previously used for online registration WILL NOT WORK with this new system.

The new registration system requires a MY SPORDLE ACCOUNT which the parent creates and then adds all members of the household to this account - including coaches - to register for hockey.  Please call the office - Lorraine at (780) 721-1477 - if you need assistance setting up your new registration account.

ONLINE REGISTRATION

Online Registration - HAWKS ATHLETIC CLUB ONLINE REGISTRATION LINK - follow the link and then log in to your MY SPORDLE ACCOUNT to access the Hawks Athletic Club registration options.

PAYMENT OF FEES

Payment by CREDIT CARD (Visa or MasterCard)

If payment by CREDIT CARD is chosen, you may choose two payment options:

1. Payment in Full, or

2. Payment of 50% Immediately and the 50% balance payable on September 1^st

Fill out your credit card details on the PAYSAFE site, then click the "SUBMIT" button.  Wait for your credit card to be processed.  DO NOT CLICK ANY BUTTONS UNTIL YOU SEE YOUR RESPONSE (this may take a few seconds).  If your transaction is DECLINED, you may enter the information for another credit card or choose another form of payment.  If APPROVED, you will receive a printable receipt in the next step and you are now done.  PLEASE NOTE:  If you choose to pay in 2 payments, the system will automatically charge your credit card for the 2^nd payment.  You do not have to go back into the system on September 1^st and enter your credit card information again.  If the credit card option is used, the following will be displayed on your credit card statement:  HAWKS ATHLETIC CLUB .

Payment by CHEQUE

If payment by CHEQUE is chosen, you will be directed to a "Your Registration was Successful" screen.  Please note that if paying by Cheque we will accept a maximum of TWO (2) cheques ONLY.  You can pay the FULL amount at the time of registration using one cheque OR you can write TWO cheques:  the first cheque for 50% of the total fee at the time of registration and the second cheque for the remaining 50% postdated on or before September 1^st, 2021.  Mail your cheque(s) to the Hawks Athletic Club at 12808-134A Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB  T5L 3W6.  Your cheque(s) must be received within 10 days of completing the online registration.  If your cheque(s) haven't been received by the Hawks within 10 working days, your online registration will be cancelled by the Registrar.

Payment by E-TRANSFER

If payment by E-Transfer is chosen, you will be directed to a "Your Registration was Successful" screen.  For e-transfer payment there are two (2) options ONLY.  You can e-transfer payment for the full amount of the registration AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION -  OR you can e-transfer 50% of the total fee at the time of registration and the remaining 50% balance ON OR BEFORE SEPTEMBER 1^st.  To e-transfer please email funds to "registrar@hawksathletics.ca" and use the password HAWKS.  If your registration fee has not been paid in full by September 1^st, your registration will be cancelled by the Registrar.

Payment by CASH

If payment by CASH is chosen, you will be directed to a "Your Registration was Successful" screen.  You must contact the Registrar, Lorraine Toth, at registrar@hawksathletics.ca or at (780) 721-1477 to make arrangements to pay with cash.  If you haven't contacted Lorraine within 5 working days to make arrangements, your registration will be cancelled by the Registrar.

Payment by PERSONAL PAYMENT PLAN CONTRACT

If payment of registration fees cannot be made before the deadline of September 1^st, you can enter into a Personal Payment Plan Contract with the Hawks Athletic Club.  You must contact the Registrar, Lorraine Toth, at registrar@hawksathletics.ca or at (780) 721-1477 to make arrangements.  A payment schedule will be drawn up according to your needs and the Personal Payment Plan Contract will be signed by yourself and the Hawks Athletic Club.  The payment schedule will necessitate payment of registration fees in full by December 31^st, 2021.

WHAT IS A COMPLETED REGISTRATION?

A completed registration for NEW PLAYERS includes the following:

• Copy of Birth Certificate or Passport
• Copy of Alberta Health Care Card
• Proof of Residency (utility bill - EPCOR, Direct Energy, or ENMAX)
• PARENT DECLARATION FORM
• Complete RESPECT IN SPORT PARENT ONLINE COURSE which will be valid for 4 years
• Bingo deposit cheque (if applicable)
• Payment - Cash, cheque, Visa, MasterCard or E-Transfer

A completed registration for RETURNING PLAYERS includes the following:

• IF YOU HAVE MOVED:  PARENT DECLARATION FORM and Proof of Residency (utility bill - EPCOR, Direct Energy, or ENMAX)
• Valid Respect in Sport Parent Online Course (valid for 4 years).  To check if your RIS Parent is still valid go to RESPECT IN SPORT GROUP.
• Bingo deposit cheque (if applicable)
• Payment - Cash, cheque, Visa, MasterCard or E-Transfer

CATEGORIES AND FEES

• An undated deposit cheque in the amount of $300.00 must be submitted at the time of registration to reserve your bingo date.   It can be mailed to: Hawks Athletic Club, 12808-134A Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB   T5L 3W6.  Your cheque will be returned after the bingo is worked.
• If you no longer have cheques you MUST leave a credit card number to use as a bingo deposit.  Your credit card will not be charged unless you default on your bingo.  Any paperwork containing your credit card information will be shredded after your bingo is worked.  Please contact the Hawks' Gaming Director at gaming@hawksathletics.ca or Lindsey at (780) 238-3997 with your credit card number.
• As shown in the table above, if you DO NOT want to work the mandatory bingo, it can be paid out for an extra $200.00 AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION ONLY.
